A word from the owner

Takeshi Maeda, owner of Iyashidokoro Shoryuken

If hip pain has been wearing you down and a doctor has suggested joint replacement surgery; if your knees hurt so much that standing is a struggle and you are worried about keeping your job; or if you have almost given up—please come visit our clinic.

We have helped many people overcome challenges just like these. Most clients experience a noticeable change after just one session. Our goal is for you to be amazed at how your body feels afterward, to leave with a lifted spirit, and to deepen your awareness of your own body.

The root cause of your discomfort lies in your daily life, and deciding to face and improve those habits is entirely up to you. For those who are ready to take that step and solve their problems themselves, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Individual results vary.

How a session works

  1. Counseling

First, we listen carefully to your troubles and how you feel. We ask about where it hurts, your lifestyle habits and medical history, and think about the cause together.

  2. Body check

We check your posture, skeleton and muscles. We look not only around the hips and knees but also at the balance of the whole body and the position of the internal organs.

  3. Explanation of the plan

Based on the results, we explain what we will do and what changes you can expect. We begin only once your concerns are settled and you are comfortable.

  4. The session

We adjust the whole body, focusing on the abdomen and the area around the hips. We carefully work on the deep muscles and fascia to bring the body into balance.

  5. After-check and advice

We check how you feel after the session and give advice on points to watch in daily life and on self-care.

Questions we often hear

How often should I come?

It depends on your condition, and we will advise you each time. As a guide: about once a week while you are working on improvement, and once or twice a month for maintenance.

Can I use health insurance?

No. To keep our technique at a high level, all sessions are self-pay.

Do I need to book?

Yes — we are by appointment only. Please arrive 3 minutes before your appointment. We have no waiting room, so arriving much earlier may overlap with other guests’ appointments. If you will be late, please contact us beforehand.

What should I wear?

Anything you can move in comfortably, except skirts. We do not provide a change of clothes, so feel free to bring your own.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. We accept credit cards, and Japanese electronic money as well.

Can you come to me? (Business trips)

Yes. We offer business trips in Japan — for international guests who live in or are visiting Japan — and overseas. The treatment fee depends on the area and the number of people (overseas: the number of days and the number of people), and we will quote the travel and accommodation costs. Please contact us for details. See the business trips page.
